finally

a long-delayed issue. the completion of this final issue under the palladium's 2007 editorial board took quite some time. mahirap magtrabaho pag christmas break, then midterms intervened then preparations for the night of the arts came in. in any case, i'm just so happy that our last issue is finally out.

the past year was certainly not easy. but despite all challenges and heartaches (?), i can proudly say that we weathered the storms that came by. being a campus journalist is a thankless job, many say. it entails a lot of effort, which many don't appreciate and, much less, recognize. despite the criticisms and the heavy load of law school, we continued to do what we planned with much enthusiasm with the hope that we would be able to be of service to the ateneo law school community and the bigger society, and that we would be able to effect change through our writings, artworks, and photographs.

on my part, my stint as editor-in-chief of the publication taught me a lot. the learning process has no ending; it's all a matter of being open to continue learning. what you always planned on doing may not come to being, but better things would always come your way. maximize these opportunities to do what you always wanted (be it to effect culture change, espouse a cause, or simply just be of service); be creative and think out of the box. who knows, you may be able to achieve greater heights.

To the Editors and staff of The Palladium 2007, my heartfelt gratitude to all of you for giving me the opportunity to serve the law school community with you. The past twelve months (especially the long sleepless nights during press weeks) were really not a walk in the park, but those twelve months were full of learning, laugter, and unforgettable moments that I am honored to have shared with you. With this bunch of talented, committed, and sincere individuals, an Editor-in-Chief could not ask for more. And yes, I am proud to say that we did not only achieve our goal of providing the law school community with a relevant publication, but more importantly, we have built a bond of friendship that would transcend the confines of our small office space in Room 307.
