of endings and beginnings

the end of summer 2006 also marked the end of the ateneo human rights center's 2006 summer internship program (SIP) and also the end of my apprenticeship at the ongkiko kalaw manhit and acorda law offices (OKMA law).

my batch (batch buyonero -- SIP '05) facilitated SIP 2006. minus some (inevitable) minor glitches along the way, i am very proud to say that we successfully pulled off facilitating this year's internship. indeed, it was another memorable summer for all of us. (not to mention the boracay RnR. haha!) after one year, we all got back together to work and have fun. (grabe, ok lang na magsiksikan sa 1 room, kahit nung BOS pa, basta lang magkakasama! haha!) we almost had a batch reunion during the bora RnR but unfortunately, love, lovely, albert, and jomai were not able to join us. as for myself, ang saya, 2 bora trips in 1 summer. haha!

club paraw with sher, ann, and anna. hindi kami umiinom ha! wahaha! ---->

umm... what else? oh yeah, batch buyonero once again got through another cultural night with nothing more than slef-confidence up their sleeves. haha! i'll upload pics as soon as i find out who has pics of our award-winning performance. hehe!

this boracay RnR wass surely memorable for our batch. what with the forever pasaway buyoneros side by side with their uber goody interns. (sobrang bait nila, as in!) thanks to all the people who came. mark & sarj (na nag-overnight lang sa boracay), jeland (even though kasalukuyang sumasakit ang ulo namin ni sarj), rob (na laging lasing at kung ano anong ginawa sa kalasingan. hehe!), meg (na halos mabali ang likod sa pagsayaw sa kalasaingan).

to our beloved interns -- batch paglaom (eyps, janice, marge, francis, kath, hope, ben, jason), thank you very much for being so nice and cooperative. we hope you had a very meaningful and enjoyable summer. congrats for successfully completing SIP 2006. good luck as you begin your journey as advocates of the ateneo human rights center!

to my batchmates, we're officially junketeers! i know that everything doesn't end here. i'm just so thankful to have been able to serve a great team. eto lang... we truly make things happen! nuff said Ü

last friday was the last day of my apprenticeship in OKMA law. as i mentioned in a previous post, the most enjoyable part of my more than a month apprenticeship was the people i met there. everyone was so nice to us and we instantly hit it off with the people there, particularly the associates (a.k.a. the OKMA sorrority). pics after the last day...

i'm very thankful to these people for making our stay in the firm very fruitful and memorable. and while our summer apprenticeship had ended, the friendship and fun times will surely be treasured. (naks drama!) Ü
